6 x 9 inches watercolor on 140lb cold press watercolor paper. Colors used Permament Rose, Lemon Yellow, Ultramarine Blue
This is the first piece which was made to go on some baby shower invitations. They are made with influence to Beatrix Potter's artwork. I had a lot of fun and challenge making these. I worked out the poses, then I inked them with brown ink and colored them in. I thought about having only one bunny in the bed, but thought that rabbits have too many babies so that would be a little odd.  I have tried to avoid muted color palettes like this (don't have a good reason why) but I want to work witht them more, I like the results. |
