I started drawing a table with an eye to its perspective, and the whole scene developed around it. Hope to make a more polished piece of this, and get my lighting and shadows going in the proper direction. Made with ball-point pen and grey markers.
Thank you for commenting on this one! It's done in such a sketchy style, but... that's some of my favorite stuff . I rarely do environments myself, whenever I draw a straight line... it's missing something, and I don't like it. That's one thing I'm trying to get over, fear of environments and straight lines.
I know what you mean. 'Sketchy' lines are so...safe. As long as you're only suggesting a line, you don't have to commit. Committing to a line means the possibility of error. But at the same time, a choppy line (such as your marker strokes) convey so much energy that often I prefer it over something polished.
I was checking your galery and I hadn't noticed before that you had this comic proyect. It looks pretty cool, I loved here the furniture and all the elements in the background. Just by watching this it makes me want to read it.

The surroundings are filled with such character, too! And the grays are so dramatic and moody! Really good job!
