Watercolor is a media used by talented people of all cultures for centuries. After crayons, it is one of the first art supplies a child uses to color. Yet, it still holds an aura of mystery on its usage. People have so many questions on how they are supposed to use this media. This journal is the first in a series of entries that will give resources, advice, and reference to help people learn and discuss watercolor.

Watercolorists Essential Notebook by Gordon MacKenzie If you can only have one watercolor book, this is the book to get.

Blue and Yellow Don't Make Green by Michael Wlicox This book got me confident that I could make watercolors look the way I wanted to. Great book for practical color theory with any art material.

Step by Step Watercolor Painting by The Alexander Brothers This books shows with full color photos how to make 14 projects from start to finish. A great deal of techniques are introduced while making a piece, increasing your interest.
